Blue Box Anime Casts Akari Kitō as Hina Chōno, Teaser Video and Staff Information Released

The upcoming TV anime Blue Box ("Ao no Hako"), based on the manga by Miura Kaoru, has revealed that voice actress Akari Kitō will portray the character Hina Chōno. Alongside this announcement, a teaser promotional video was released, offering a glimpse into the anime's visual and thematic elements.

The character Hina Chōno, voiced by Kitō, is depicted as a close friend of the protagonist Daiki Inomata and a rising star on the rhythmic gymnastics team at Eimei High School. The teaser video features the voices of the characters, including Daiki, voiced by Shōya Chiba, Chinatsu, voiced by Reina Ueda, and Hina, voiced by Kitō.

Additionally, it was announced that Telecom Animation Film will handle the anime production, with UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS overseeing planning and production. These updates were revealed at the "Jump Festa 2024" event on December 16 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

"Ao no Hako" is a coming-of-age love story set in a prestigious sports-oriented junior and senior high school. It explores the characters' passionate dedication to their club activities and the nuanced emotions of young love. The original manga is serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump, published by Shueisha.
