Shueisha's Jump SQ. announced the staff, cast, and story details for the new Blue Exorcist anime in the latest issue. Titled Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujo O-hen, it is set to premiere in 2017. Koichi Hatsumi (Gangsta.) replaces Tensai Okamura as director, and the animation studio has changed to A-1 Pictures. The new anime will adapt the Kyoto Fujo O-hen story arc, which begins in Volume 5 of Kazue Kato's manga.
