“Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga” is scheduled to premiere in January 2024

Aniplex has announced details for a new anime adaptation of the Blue Exorcist series. Titled "Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga," the anime is set to debut in January 2024. It will adapt volumes 10-15 of the original manga series by Kazue Katō. Along with the announcement, a new visual and promotional video were released, further heightening anticipation for the upcoming series.





Directed by Daisuke Yoshida and produced by Studio VOLN, the new anime will feature a returning cast from the previous series. The project is led by scriptwriter Toshiya Ono, while character design and chief animation are handled by Yurie Oohigashi. Composers Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are responsible for the anime's music.

The series revolves around Rin Okumura, a young man whose veins flow with the blood of the demon lord Satan. Determined to defeat Satan, Rin embarks on a journey to become an exorcist, a task filled with dangers and secrets.
