Fans of Blue Lock can rejoice, as the 24th and final episode of the current TV anime series has given the green light for a second season and a film adaptation.

The upcoming film will be based on the manga spin-off episode Nagi, which has been serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine since June of last year. This spin-off focuses on the character Seishirō Nagi before he enters the famous Blue Lock facility.

The anime's website also confirmed that six new actors are involved in the production: Yūichi Nakamura as Ryūsei Shidō, Makoto Furukawa as Tabito Karasu, Kengo Kawanishi as Eita Otoya, Takuya Eguchi as Kenyu Yukimiya, Hiro Shimono as Julian Loki, and Shin'ichirō Kamio as Leonardo Luna.
