The third season of the successful anime series "Blue Lock" bears the official title "Blue Lock Neo Egoist League." The production team announced this on June 9, 2026, the so-called "Blue Lock Day." At the same time, a so-called "Super Teaser Visual" was released, showing the two main characters Yoichi Isagi and Michael Kaiser. Additionally, separate character visuals and a special video were released, combining all media of the franchise – manga, anime, stage play, and the upcoming live-action film – in an egoistic collage.

The third season adapts the "Neo Egoist League" story arc from the manga of the same name. After the victory against Japan's U-20 national team, the remaining 35 Blue Lock players compete against the most talented young players from the five major European leagues. At the center is the protagonist Yoichi Isagi, who must assert himself in the German team "Bastard München" against the outstanding striker Michael Kaiser. The work on the new season will once again be handled by Studio 8bit.

Isagi's voice actor, Kazuki Ura, expressed his overwhelming feelings in a statement: "When the first recordings for the first season began, the Neo Egoist League arc was starting simultaneously in the magazine. Page by page, I felt the excitement of one day being able to play Isagi, and at the same time the pressure of whether I could live up to it. Since that day, the Neo Egoist League has been my goal and my dream. Now this dream is coming true. I am wholeheartedly excited and will give my all."

The manga source material by Muneyuki Kaneshiro (story) and Yusuke Nomura (art) has been serialized in Kodansha's "Weekly Shonen Magazine" since 2018. The worldwide circulation has now exceeded the 60 million copies mark. The first anime season aired from October 2022 to March 2023 on Japanese television, and the second season "Blue Lock VS. U-20 Japan" followed in fall 2024. Additionally, the live-action film adaptation will premiere in Japanese theaters on August 7, 2026.

A specific air date for the third season has not yet been announced. Given the series' previous two-year rhythm and the proximity to the live-action film release, observers expect a start in October 2026.
