Boku to Roboco: cinema film announced with teaser visual and trailer

The movie adaptation of "Boku to Roboco", based on the work by Shūhei Miyazaki, will premiere in Japanese theaters on April 18, 2025.

The key visual shows Roboco with a serious expression, turning her back to the viewer. On her large back, humorous everyday scenes featuring Roboco and her friends are depicted, including her signature knee-focused impersonations that never fail to make everyone laugh. One particular scene shows Bond suddenly turning around as if he’s noticed something.

The trailer combines "Boku to Roboco"'s trademark self-irony with action-packed and dramatic elements. Alongside comedic moments like the "Message of the Knees", there’s thrilling motorcycle action, mysterious shadows looming over the city, and a glimpse of other Roboco-like characters.

"Boku to Roboco" is set in a world where custom-made maid robots are common in many households. The film follows the daily life of Bond, an ordinary fifth-grader, and Roboco, a somewhat eccentric maid robot who moves in with him.
