"Botchi the Rock!" appears as a two-part cinema compilation

The anime "Bocchi the Rock!", based on the original manga by Hamaji Aki, will be released as a two-part film compilation. The first part is scheduled for release in spring 2024, followed by the second part in summer of the same year.

"Bocchi the Rock!" tells the story of Hitomi Goto, an extremely shy student who is also a skilled guitarist. Unexpectedly, she joins an all-girl band called "Kessoku Band" and embarks on a coming-of-age journey with her quirky bandmates. The manga was serialized in Manga Time Kirara MAX and adapted into a TV anime, which aired starting October 2022.

Along with the announcement, new teaser images and a special promotional video were revealed. The teaser images, illustrated by Kerorira, the lead character designer and animation director, feature Hitomi Goto holding a guitar. A comment from Yoshino Aoyama, the voice actress for Hitomi Goto, was also released.
