Bottom-tier character Tomozaki is getting an anime

The official website of Yuuki Yaku's light novel TV anime adaptation Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun (Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki) announced on Friday that a new anime project is in production. Further information has not yet been confirmed. A special video was made to celebrate the announcement.

The first season of bottom-tier character Tomozaki consisted of 12 episodes in total. Two OVAs also aired in May and June 2021. Shinsuke Yanagi directed the first season, while Project No.9 did the animation.

The light novel series has been continued by Shogakukan since May 2016 and currently has 9 volumes in circulation. Square Enix also published a manga adaptation from December 2017 to February 2021, totaling 6 volumes.
