The anime adaptation of "SANDA" by Paru Itagaki, known for "Beastars", has released its key visual as well as an extensive preview trailer. The series will be exclusively available on Prime Video starting October 4.

The released image shows the protagonist Mita together with a Santa Claus figure breaking through glass, as well as Principal Ōjūichi Kazumi of Daikoku Aigo Academy. The main trailer provides insights into a strictly controlled future world where children are under comprehensive surveillance, and shows the mysterious Santa figure whose curse is broken through wishes.

Additionally, two more voice actors were announced: Toshihiko Seki takes on the role of the 92-year-old principal Ōjūichi Kazumi, who compulsively clings to youth and has undergone numerous cosmetic surgeries. Hiroaki Hirata voices Yagyūta Saburō, a specialist in hunting Santas who severely injured a Santa two decades ago.

The musical accompaniment consists of the opening "Adult-like Children" by yama and the ending "Diary" by Sōshi Sakiyama.

The plot takes place in a futuristic Japan suffering from extreme overprotection of youth, and combines elements of a Santa Claus myth with action and hero stories. The series will additionally be broadcast on the channels AT-X and Animax.
