The manga „Shuiro no Kamen“ (German: „Die scharlachrote Maske“), based on a story by Dr.Poro and illustrated by Nabana Naba, is receiving an anime adaptation. This announcement was made alongside a first teaser visual, illustrations by the two artists to celebrate the project, as well as information about the production team.

„Shuiro no Kamen“ tells the story of the young Pell, who possesses a mask that grants its wearer extraordinary abilities – but can also influence their mind and lead to tragic consequences. As an apprentice to a legendary mask maker, Pell is manipulated by the mask's power, loses control of himself, and in a fit of madness accidentally kills his master and his companions. Plagued by guilt, he embarks on a journey to destroy the masks crafted by his master. During his quest, he encounters new companions and must face dangerous adversaries. The manga is serialized in the Japanese magazine „Young King OURs“ by the publisher Shonen Gahosha.

The anime adaptation is being produced at Studio 100studio (Wandabulu O Studio). The direction is handled by Tetsuaki Watanabe, while the screenplay is written by Daisuke Daito. Character design and the role of Chief Animation Director are handled by Hisashi Higashijima, with the musical score composed by Arisa Okezama.
