The presumed dead Ranpo reveals that he is still alive. He rescues several members of the Armed Detective Agency, but they continue to be labeled as terrorists. To clear their name, Ranpo is arrested after sending evidence to law enforcement. Meanwhile, Atsushi and the team set out to search for an important notebook page.

The episode begins with Ranpo in a police car. The tires of the vehicle are shredded by spikes thrown onto the road, after which Ranpo escapes with the help of a familiar police officer, Minoura.

Ranpo then speaks with Fukuchi, whom he trusts due to Fukuzawa's behavior. He reveals his suspicion that Fukuchi is the true identity of Kamui, the leader of the Hunting Dogs. This connection between Fukuchi, the Armed Detective Agency, and the terrorist attacks raises further questions.

Fukuchi reveals that he possesses the notebook page and discloses that he has injured Atsushi. The episode ends with the arrival of security forces and the revelation that Akutagawa is hiding on the ship.
