The episode begins with Jess and the protagonist, still in pig form, arriving in the town of Kiltyrie. The town is bustling with activity as preparations for a festival are underway. Jess and the protagonist decide to explore the town, and the protagonist is relieved that despite his pig form, he doesn’t stand out too much.

During their walk, Jess leads the protagonist to a Rista shop, where she wants to buy a black Rista, a magical stone used for prayers. The protagonist learns that Jess needs the Rista for her upcoming journey to the royal capital. However, they encounter a shady merchant who tries to sell Jess low-quality Ristas at a high price. The protagonist intervenes and advises Jess not to buy from this man.

The two head to Jess’ usual Rista shop, where the shopkeeper, Mr. Kilins, recognizes her. Jess tries to negotiate the price for a black Rista and reveals that she only has 200 gold coins. The protagonist suggests offering himself, the pig, as part of the deal. Intrigued by the pig’s ability to perform tricks, Mr. Kilins agrees to exchange a black Rista for the pig and waives the additional costs.

With the black Rista in their possession, Jess and the protagonist prepare for the festival. Jess puts on a maid’s costume and brings the protagonist something to eat. They agree to meet the next morning under a large tree, as Jess must return to the Kiltyrin household to prepare for her journey to the royal capital.

The episode ends with the protagonist vowing to find a way to escape and meet Jess under the large tree, assuring her that he will somehow make it happen. Jess trusts him and looks forward to their next meeting.
