The episode begins with a journey to a temple lined with birch trees, currently inhabited by His Holiness Heika, who is known as a living legend. Their journey is explained to them by Eugenia, the servant of God. She informs them about the custom of pilgrims planting birch trees on their way to the temple, the protective barrier around the temple maintained by the priests, and the necessity for the one who ignites the sacred flame to be purified.

Raeliana is then taken to a purification chamber. There, she is given a slime-like substance to consume before her bath, which she finds disgusting but necessary for purification. Raeliana is frustrated by the procedure but continues to adhere to the rules.

While exploring the temple surroundings, Raeliana encounters a struggling bird. She saves it from drowning, much to Eugenia’s surprise, who informs her that the bird was meant to die because it could not survive in the heat of the dome. Raeliana counters that one should never give up on life, thus proving her indomitable character.

As her day continues, Raeliana is tasked with transcribing sacred texts in the temple library, a task she surprisingly excels at. However, this brings her into conflict with a young white-haired boy who criticizes her translation. A verbal exchange ensues, during which Raeliana uses a special temple language, surprising the boy.

The boy then reveals himself to be His Holiness Heika Demint, the same living legend they had heard of earlier. Despite her shock, Raeliana respectfully declines when Heika offers to make her his disciple, causing great confusion and disappointment in Heika.

The episode ends with the temple preparing for a banquet in honor of the ignition of the sacred flame, and Raeliana having dressed up for the occasion.
