The studio MAPPA announced on Saturday that it will produce a TV anime adaptation of the light novel series Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hōrō Meshi) by Ren Eguchi and illustrator Masa. The anime will premiere in January 2023.

The main cast of the anime includes:

- Yūma Uchida as Mukouda (Mukouda Tsuyoshi)

- Satoshi Hino as Fel

- Hina Kino as Sui

J-Novel Club publishes both the light novel series and the manga adaptation in English and describes the story as follows:

Mukouda Tsuyoshi was nothing special in modern Japan, and when he was summoned to a world of swords and sorcery, he thought he was ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Too bad the kingdom that summoned him only got him by mistake! Not only was he not one of the three summoned heroes, but his stats were laughable compared to the others.
