For the upcoming TV premiere of the rom-com Can Men and Women Be Friends? (No, They Can't!!) (Japanese: Danjo no Yūjō wa Seiritsu Suru? (Iya, Shinai!!)), the third key visual, stills from the first episode, and a web trailer have been released. The series will begin airing on April 4, 2024, on Japanese television.

The new key visual features the protagonists Yūu (a botany-loving introvert) and Hibiki (an outgoing ray of sunshine) in their school sanctuary—the gardening club. However, the tranquil atmosphere belies the coming turmoil: In the first episode, "Anemone and Moonflower," Yūu finds himself stressed when Hibiki suggests they become a "fated duo," while his old flame Rinne Enomoto unexpectedly reappears.

The exclusive trailer, based on an original script by Nana Nanana (author of the source material), highlights the charmingly chaotic dynamic between the characters. Witty dialogue and underlying tension hint at how Yūu’s desire for a platonic friendship is shaken by romantic complications.

Based on the light novel series of the same name, praised in 2023 for its authentic portrayal of youthful relationship dynamics, the anime adaptation blends humorous slapstick with emotional depth.
