"Captain Tsubasa" anime returns in October with the second season "Junior Youth Arc".

Shueisha announced on Thursday that the anime "Captain Tsubasa" 2018-2019 will receive a second season titled "Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc," which will air in October on TV Tokyo and its affiliated channels.



In the new season, Jun Fukuyama will take on the role of Karl Heinz Schneider. Returning cast members include Yuko Sanpei as Tsubasa Ōzora, Kenichi Suzumura as Genzō Wakabayashi, Takuya Satō as Kojirō Hyūga, and Ayaka Fukuhara as Tarō Misaki.

Katsumi Ono will take over as director from Toshiyuki Kato in the new season, while Studio KAI replaces david production as the animation studio. Atsuhiro Tomioka returns to oversee the series scripts, and Hajime Watanabe resumes his role as character designer and animation director, with Noriko Ogura serving as sub-character designer.

The current anime adaptation of Yōichi Takahashi's 1981-1988 manga "Captain Tsubasa" premiered in April 2018 on TV Tokyo and other networks. It retells the story of Takahashi's original manga from the beginning and concluded with its 52nd episode in April 2019.

The original football manga follows 11-year-old Tsubasa Ōzora, a soccer-obsessed boy whose skills earn him recognition from his coach, Roberto. Tsubasa travels with his coach to Brazil to train for the World Cup.
