The creators of Captain Tsubasa will release the "Junior Youth Arc," a continuation of the 2018-2019 anime series. A promotional video has been released, featuring the new opening theme "As One" by Johnny's West, a group that previously contributed to the soundtrack of the 2018 series. The cast for this season offers a mix of new and returning talents:

Katsumi Ono, known for his work on Senki Zesshō Symphogear GX and Girly Air Force, will direct the series, replacing Toshiyuki Kato. The animation will be handled by Studio KAI, taking over from david production. Atsuhiro Tomioka will continue to write the series' scripts, and Hajime Watanabe will return as character designer and chief animation director. Noriko Ogura will be responsible for the design of secondary characters.

The new series builds on the original 1981-1988 Captain Tsubasa manga by Yōichi Takahashi. The manga focuses on 11-year-old Tsubasa Ōzora, a talented soccer player who travels to Brazil with his coach Roberto to train for the World Cup.
