Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc – New movie announced for 2025

News about the Chainsaw Man movie: Reze Arc, based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's original work, was announced today, December 22, during the Jump Super Stage RED at Jump Festa 2025 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The film continues the story of the Chainsaw Man TV anime series.

The release date for the film was set in relation to the plot as "2025, during a typhoon," as revealed by a new teaser trailer. Additionally, two contrasting visuals were unveiled: one shows Chainsaw Man in action-packed dynamism, while the other shows Denji together with the mysterious Reze, meeting at a café called "Nidō" in a relaxed scene.

The event also featured comments from director Tatsuya Yoshihara, Kikonosuke Toya (voice of Denji), and Reina Ueda (voice of Reze).

Chainsaw Man tells the story of the young Denji, who harbors a devil within him and works as a Devil Hunter. The dark action series began in 2018 in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) and is currently continuing with a second part in Shonen Jump+. In addition to the TV anime adaptation, which aired in October 2022, the work has also been adapted into a stage play.
