Change in the RTL II anime block

RTL II is now repeating the fifth season of "Digimon Data Squad." As a result, the last three movies of "Detective Conan" will be dropped. In between, a total of 5 episodes of "Pokémon" will air.

Starting February 25, 2012, at 06:20 AM, three episodes of "Pokémon - Diamond & Pearl" will air, beginning with episode 502, which is around the 2/3 mark of the season. After that, at 07:25 AM, the fifth season of the anime cult classic «Digimon Data Squad» will begin.

From this date onward, the anime programming schedule will look as follows:

06:20 AM: "Pokémon - Diamond & Pearl" (starting with episode 502)

06:40 AM: "Pokémon - Diamond & Pearl"

07:05 AM: "Pokémon - Diamond & Pearl"

07:25 AM: "Digimon Data Squad" (starting with episode 1)

07:50 AM: "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX"

08:15 AM: "Pokémon - Advanced Generation"

08:40 AM: "Pokémon - Advanced Generation"

09:00 AM: "Dragon Ball"

09:25 AM: "Dragon Ball"

09:45 AM: "Naruto Shippuden"

10:10 AM: "Dragon Ball Z"

10:35 AM: "Dragon Ball Z"

It remains to be seen how this will play out. In particular, one might weigh whether new, well-received anime adaptations make sense in terms of ratings compared to airing as many as 5 reruns of "Pokémon."
