"Cheer for a Few Minutes": youth ensemble drama by Tokiya Hanada

The original anime "Cheer for a Few Minutes" by Tokiya Hanada is set to premiere in early summer 2024. The main roles are voiced by Natsuki Hanae and Mariya Ise. The core staff, a teaser video, and a special will be released simultaneously.

"Cheer for a Few Minutes" is set in Ishikawa Prefecture and is a youth drama that begins with the encounter between a high school student who produces music videos and a teacher who gave up her music career. Natsuki Hanae plays the high school student Asaya Kanata, who is inspired to create a music video after witnessing a street performance. Mariya Ise portrays Yuu Orishige, the teacher who performs in the street act.

The anime is directed and produced by the video production team Hurray!, consisting of members Popurika, Ohajiki, and Magotsuki. Hurray! is known for their work on the TV anime "Not Just Cute, Shikimori-san" and music videos for the artist Yorushika. Hurray! handles nearly all aspects of the animation, including direction, character design, and overall supervision.

Singer-songwriter Kei Sugawara, selected by Spotify as one of the most promising emerging artists of "RADAR: Early Noise 2022," provides the singing voice for Yuu Orishige. The songs Yuu performs in the film were composed by VIVI, a Vocaloid producer.
