"Chikuwa Senki - Ore No Kawaii de Chikyū Shinryaku" receives short -time

The manga "ちくわ戦記～おれのカワイイで地球侵略～" (Chikuwa Senki – Ore no Kawaii de Chikyuu Shinryaku), currently serialized on Cycomi, is being adapted into a short anime. The story focuses on the daily life of an alien lifeform that takes the form of a Shiba Inu named Chikuwa. Chikuwa collects a special energy that is generated when humans perceive him as "cute."

The story begins with Chikuwa being sent to the Inumiya family, consisting of the married couple Banjiro and Madoka, to advance his mission. However, when a newborn named Nene suddenly joins the family, Chikuwa faces entirely new challenges.

Well-known voice actors have been cast for the roles: Tomokazu Sugita voices Chikuwa, Mayuko Kazama plays Madoka, Mutsuki Iwanaka lends his voice to Banjiro, Rie Hikisaka voices Nene, and Shunichi Maki plays the alien Geppura-seijin.

Alongside the anime adaptation, a limited-time special campaign is being held in Shibuya, where the first two volumes of the manga are being offered in a special edition.
