In the Northern Fortress, the kingdom faces a serious threat as the Dark Army breaches the defensive nets. A soldier urgently reports to the king that the fortress's magical barrier is weakening. The king expresses his disappointment over the absence of the hero, who has retreated to the Southern Fortress, and orders his immediate summons.

The kingdom's ministers deliberate over desperate measures and propose using a powerful spell called "Purification" to repel the invaders. Despite concerns that the spell could heavily burden the kingdom's mages, it is deployed, and the mages successfully cast the spell to drive back the Dark Army.

Meanwhile, Flio returns to his peaceful home. His companion Fenrys warmly welcomes him and offers food and company. They converse about everyday matters, such as Flio's business in the city and the contributions his friends make to the household finances by selling vegetables and renting out horses.

As the Dark Army retreats, a minister confirms the temporary safety brought by the Purification but also points out its debilitating effect on the mages, including the king. The princess takes over her father's royal duties and, after a controversy, decides to strip the hero of his title for not participating in the crisis.

The dismissed hero reacts with outrage and defiance, refusing to accept his dismissal. He encounters a mysterious voice, Hiya, a djinn, who offers him power through three wishes. Desperate for a way to restore his status, the hero agrees.

Back in the kingdom, disturbing developments arise as several nobles discover magical necklaces placed around their necks—an ominous consequence of a djinn's curse. The princess learns that the necklaces are linked to a catastrophic event caused by a djinn in the past and realizes an urgent solution must be found. She turns to Ashura, an oracle, who advises her to find the true hero already within the kingdom.

At the end of the episode, Flio and Fenrys meet for a rendezvous, and their relationship deepens amid the ongoing turmoil. However, their peace is abruptly shattered when the djinn Hiya appears to carry out the hero's revenge against Flio, leading to a dramatic confrontation in which Fenrys is severely injured.
