"Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon Suru Koto ni Natta." - Cast and character news

For the upcoming anime adaptation of "Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon Suru Koto ni Natta," it has been announced that Kaori Maeda will take on the role of Maho. To celebrate this announcement, Maeda shared a handwritten note in the style of a "wedding announcement."

The romantic comedy tells the story of Saito Hojo, a high school student set to inherit his grandfather's company, and his unexpected arranged marriage to Akane Sakuramori, the girl he gets along with the least at school. The plot follows the two on their unconventional and humorous journey.

Maho, voiced by Maeda, is a younger transfer student at Saito's school. About her role, Maeda said: "Maho is like a whirlwind. She leaves a lasting impression and pours all her energy into everything she does." She expressed her joy about the project as follows: "It makes me very happy to be part of such a warm and wonderful team. Romantic comedies are just great!"

In the lead-up to the release, character designs and preview videos will be released weekly. The first preview shows Akane Sakuramori, voiced by Hinaki Yano, with a variety of facial expressions, from stern looks to vulnerable moments.

The ending theme "Sukikirai mo Oikoshite" will be sung by Yano as Akane, with support from Sayumi Suzushiro as Himari Ishikura and Nene Hieda as Ito Hojo. It promises an energetic and emotional musical finale.

The anime will premiere in January 2025 under the direction of Hiroyuki Oshima. Series composition is handled by Tatsuya Takahashi, while Nanako Tatsu is in charge of character designs. The animation is produced in a collaboration between Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ.
