Continuation of the anime series "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" announced

The anime production "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II" (Japanese original title: サイバーパンク：エッジランナーズ) will soon be available on a streaming platform. A first visual glimpse of the upcoming season is already available.

The series is derived from the game "Cyberpunk 2077" by the Polish developer CD PROJEKT RED, who is also known for the "Witcher" series. The first season depicted the life of the young mercenary David Martinez in a metropolis shaped by technology and body modification. The animation was handled by the studio TRIGGER under the artistic direction of Imaishi Hiroyuki, with character designs by Yoshinari Yoh.

For the second part, ten new episodes within the "Cyberpunk 2077" universe are planned. The direction is taken over by Igarashi Kai from TRIGGER. The main responsibility for character design lies with Kanno Ichika. The screenplay is developed by Otsuka and Bartosz Sztybor, who was already involved in the first installment as a story writer and producer.
