On the website of Kodansha for the anime adaptation of A Couple of Cuckoos, a romantic comedy by Miki Yoshikawa, the first details about the series were announced. The anime, currently in production, will be released in 2022 and has just been showcased in an official teaser trailer.



The video reveals that Nao Tōyama joins the cast as Hiro Segawa and also highlights the character.

A Couple of Cuckoos is a manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since January 2020. So far, 8 volumes have been released, with over a million copies in circulation.

16-year-old top student Nagi Umino, a second-year at Meguro River Academy High School, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner where he is supposed to meet his biological parents, he accidentally encounters the bold and outspoken Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend since she never wants to actually marry. But when Nagi arrives at the dinner, he discovers that his parents have decided to resolve the hospital mix-up by having him marry the daughter his biological parents raised... who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!
