On May 23, 2026, the tenth edition of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards took place at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa in Tokyo. Before the actual award ceremony, the traditional Orange Carpet opened the evening, where numerous international guests and representatives of the nominated productions appeared in front of the cameras.

The gala was once again hosted by Jon Kabira and Sally Amaki, who had already led the event the previous year. Presenters included actress Kasumi Arimura, model Enako, former Nogizaka46 members Asuka Saito and Nanase Nishino, as well as the comedy duo Mitorizu. The musical opening of the show was provided by DEAN FUJIOKA, Porno Graffitti, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, and Yoko Takahashi, who appeared in a metallic shimmering dress. Takahashi performed the song "Zankoku na Tenshi no These" on the occasion of the 30th TV anniversary of "Neon Genesis Evangelion," accompanied by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Hirofumi Kurita.

In the top category "Anime of the Year," six works were nominated: "Dandadan" Season 2, "Gachiakuta," "My Hero Academia Final Season," "Takopi’s Original Sin," "The Apothecary Diaries" Season 2, and "Hikari ga Shinda Natsu." On the Orange Carpet, the teams of these series appeared – including director Masahiro Shinohara from "Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World" 3rd Season, voice actor Masaya Fukunishi (Kafka Hibino / Kaiju No. 8), who posed for photos with the "8" pose, Reina Ueda (Shizuka from "Takopi’s Original Sin") with director Shinya Iino, as well as the creators of "Gachiakuta" and "Dandadan" with voice actress Shion Wakayama and director Fuga Yamashiro.

This year's awards included 32 categories, which fans worldwide could vote on. The award ceremony itself was streamed live via Crunchyroll's channels. With the tenth edition, the streaming service underscored its growing importance as a global platform for anime – the number of votes cast rose from a few million in 2017 to now several tens of millions.
