Cygames announces original anime “Necronomi-ko’s Cosmic Horror Show” for 2025

Cygames has announced the production of the original TV anime "Necronomi-ko’s Cosmic Horror Show", set to air in 2025. Alongside the announcement, a first teaser visual, trailer, and details about the staff and voice cast were released.

The series is set in the world of a VR game and follows the story of streamers who navigate between reality and virtual experiences. At the center is Miko Kurono, known as Necronomi-ko, who pursues her dream of becoming a streamer after graduating from school. Together with her childhood friend Mayu Maimusaka and her rival Kanna Kagurazaka, she sets out to participate in a new VR game project. The story unfolds with bizarre adventures and eerie twists in the virtual world.

The visual features the three main characters—Miko in the center, Kanna on the left, and Mayu on the right—against a vibrant and playful background that captures the lively atmosphere of a VR game.
