Prince Lloyd returns with his entourage – the new maid Ren, the guardian Babylon, and the demon Grim – to the church to learn divine magic. His reception is icy: The priest bitterly recalls Lloyd's destructive incident from two years ago and calls him a "devil's child." Only the intercession of the gentle nun Escher grants Lloyd a second chance at redemption through service in the church.

While Grim explains the basics of divine magic – an effective but time-consuming form of magic attained through prayer and service – Lloyd's sister, the musical princess Saria, appears. She prepares a healing recital with Escher. However, their performance is disrupted by thugs harassing Escher. Ren intervenes with her newly learned poison control ("Succubus Scales"), but still shows uncertainty in dosage. Lloyd and Babylon step in and remove the troublemakers.

During the recital, Lloyd watches in fascination as Escher's and Saria's music genuinely unleashes healing magic. He and Grim realize that this is divine magic, manifested not through a classical mana signature but as a ritual (through song). Lloyd analyzes the unfamiliar magical notation and the effect of the healing particles.

Suddenly, he senses an intense, alien presence observing the recital. Together with Grim, he teleports ("Shadow Wolf") toward the source of this unsettling, mana-filled presence. The journey unexpectedly takes them far and ends with a hard impact in a freezing, unknown environment. There, they face the entity that had been watching them – an unexpected and enigmatic conclusion to their church mission.
