Episode 20 of Dainanaoji (Season 2) culminates in the confrontation between Lloyd and Pope Guitane, who reveals himself as the true antagonist. During the Great Advent Festival, Guitane initiates an invasion of chimeras in the city, spreading chaos and destruction. Lloyd, who has foreseen Guitane's plans, confronts him directly in the cathedral after previously bringing Albert and King Charles to safety.

Parallel to this, Lloyd's allies – including Sylpha, Tao, Ren, and others – fight against the chimeras in the city. In the process, it is revealed that some of the bishops, such as Anastasia, are collaborating with Guitane, while others like Dante and Batts side with the defenders. The battles against the chimeras, including powerful creatures such as Grimoire (an imitated demon) and Shakra (a chimera with superior combat skills), strongly challenge the group.

Tao defeats Shakra in an emotional battle that reveals Shakra's past and motivations, while Galilea and Talia hold their own against the false Grimoire. The episode ends with the realization that Guitane's invasion is only the beginning of a larger conflict, and continues the tension for the upcoming events.
