The TV anime "Dandadan," based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, is set to air in October 2024. The anime will feature Shiho Wakayama as Momo Ayase and Natsuki Hanae as Ken Takakura, also known as Okarun. Additionally, Mayumi Tanaka will voice the character Turbo Granny, and Kazuya Nakai will voice the Serpoian Alien. All four voice actors shared their excitement and comments about their roles alongside the release of a teaser promotional video featuring their character voices.

The announcement was made at Jump Festa 2024, held on December 16 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Wakayama, who plays Momo, a high school girl from a family of spiritual mediums, expressed her determination to capture the character's strong energy. Hanae, who will play Okarun, an occult-obsessed and eccentric student, shared his enthusiasm for portraying this unique and interesting character.

Tanaka, who plays Turbo Granny, a notorious yokai haunting a tunnel in Masano City, said she was very excited about this role. Nakai, who voices the Serpoian Alien, an all-male alien species that clones itself and seeks to regain its reproductive abilities, spoke about his childhood fascination with aliens and his excitement for this role.

"Dandadan" is an "occult, mysterious battle and romantic comedy" centered around Momo Ayase, a high school girl from a family of spiritual mediums, and her classmate Ken Takakura, an occult fanatic. The manga is currently serialized in Shonen Jump+ and has reached 12 volumes. The anime adaptation is directed by Kazuma Yamashiro, with Hiroshi Seko handling series composition and script. Animation production is led by Science SARU.
