A new trailer for the fourth season of DanMachi has been released, and the start date has been announced for July 22nd. Judging by the title of the new season, "Labyrinth," the anime will adapt the Labyrinth Arc (Volumes 12-14 of the light novel). The entire writing team from previous seasons is returning. The group sajou no hana contributes the opening song "Tentō," while Saori Hayami sings the ending song "Guide."

The first season of the 13-episode anime by J.C.Staff Studios was released in spring 2015, a second season with 12 episodes followed in summer 2019, and a third season with 12 episodes was released in fall 2020.
The anime is based on a light novel written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. SB Creative has published the series under their GA Bunko imprint since 2013. The 17th volume was released on April 30, 2021. The anime series has so far adapted the first 11 volumes of the novel series.
