The anime series "Theogonia" ("Shintouki"), based on the dark fantasy series of the same name, will begin airing on April 10. Simultaneously, a new key visual for the series was released, along with additional characters and their voice actors.

The story centers around a boy named Kai from the village of Ragu, who one day regains memories of a more technologically advanced world. As these revelations unfold, he and his village become entangled in a fateful conflict that forms the core of the plot.

Newly announced characters include Olwe, voiced by Hana Tamegai, a girl from the dwarf race who supports Kai, and Elsa, voiced by Manaka Iwami, a villager with affection for Kai. Additional roles feature Yoshitaka Shitsugai as the leader of the dwarves, as well as Masaki Aizawa and Hitoshi Matsuyama in various supporting roles. Also newly added are Yōshitsugu Matsuoka, who will voice Olwe, and Yōko Hikasa as Elsa.

Additionally, a special event at AnimeJapan 2025 was announced, featuring Mutsumi Tamura (Kai) and Kana Hanazawa (Jose). In time for the announcement, detailed character designs for the humans and various creatures of the series, including dwarves, monkey-like beings, and pig-like beings, were released.
