The episode begins with Eiko reflecting on her recent experiences and wondering why she keeps getting involved in supernatural activities with Yayoi and Keitaro. To find an answer, she decides to visit the grave of Taira no Masakado, one of the most haunted places in Tokyo. Yayoi accompanies her, and the two discuss their reasons for engaging with the supernatural. Eiko concludes that her curiosity and desire to explore the unknown outweigh her fears, and she resolves to continue investigating haunted locations with Yayoi.

Meanwhile, Keitaro reflects on his transformation from a recluse who attracts spirits to a man who accepts his fate and fights alongside Yayoi. He worries about the dangers they face but decides to press on.

Eiko comes up with the idea of purchasing an abandoned property to establish a "graduate dormitory" for the spirits they’ve collected. They find a suitable—albeit cursed—house online and decide to visit it. The owner warns them about the property’s dark history, including rumors that it is cursed and spawns the spirits of murder victims. Despite the warnings, Eiko and Yayoi deem the house perfect for their purposes and tour it, excited yet cautious about the horrors that may lurk within.
