The 25th episode of "Dark Gathering" begins with a phone call between Ai and Keitaro. Ai expresses her concern about the train accident and believes it happened because of her presence. Keitaro reassures her, absolves her of blame, and encourages her to return to their group. After the call, Ai sends Keitaro information about her hospital stay.


Keitaro then visits Eiko's house to inform Yayoi and Eiko about Ai. He learns about recent events at Yayoi's school, including her temporary alliance with the Body Snatchers. Eiko reveals that she has installed spy cameras to monitor potential Body Snatchers, adding to the tense atmosphere. Meanwhile, Yayoi reports on her preparations for the upcoming trip to Kyoto, focusing on visiting Ai and confronting her God Spirit.


Yayoi explains her strategy for battling Ai's God Spirit, a powerful opponent. Her plan involves positioning five of her seven graduates at cursed locations to form a pentagram of the 'Bellflower of Blasphemy,' which will weaken Ai's God Spirit. She intends to deploy her most powerful graduates, Martyr and Oiran, for the first phase of weakening. Yayoi's strategy also includes creating substitutes for the city of Kyoto and the God Spirit to divert potential damage from her plan onto the spirit.


Keitaro assists Yayoi with the planning, and Yayoi asks Keitaro and Eiko to confirm their participation. She invites the two to come the next morning if they wish to join. Back at Eiko's house, Eiko shows Yayoi a spirit she previously captured and a closet full of 3D-printed, self-sustaining substitutes meant to increase their chances of survival. Yayoi praises Eiko for her ingenuity.


Meanwhile, Keitaro reflects on the risky journey ahead. In the hospital, Ai, awaiting a reunion with her friends, has a disturbing dream featuring her aunt and mother, ghostly figures, and a transformation, ending with a cryptic message from her God Spirit.


The next morning, Keitaro arrives at Eiko's with good luck charms from his grandmother. The trio then focuses on preparations for the 'Bellflower of Blasphemy' plan, including a visit to the student dormitory to set a trap for Dorothy and other Body Snatchers. At the same time, Oswald and Nankobo discuss Yayoi's connections and the growing shadow of death. Despite Nankobo's caution, Oswald plans to visit the shadow with Dorothy.




As the group travels to Kyoto, Eiko suggests visiting the site of the train accident, but Yayoi declines, prioritizing Ai. The episode ends with various key figures preparing for the upcoming battle.
