Dark Machine The Animation - Original Anime for 2026 with Prominent Team Announced

The production of a new original anime series titled Dark Machine The Animation has been officially confirmed. The broadcast is scheduled for the year 2026 on the channel Fuji TV.

The plot is set in a near-future scenario in Japan, in which the e-sports title Dark Machine has gained immense popularity and has even influenced the country's economic system. The story follows the youth Kairi, who, after the death of his grandfather, follows his last wish to find the title-holding strongest player, the Sengi. In the special economic zone Golden Valley, he meets the girl Rudra, who is being pursued. The series tells how Kairi, in search of his life's meaning, must master the e-sports game and in the process finds new bonds and goals in a team.

A first promotional video and a key visual have been released. The motif shows Kairi and his team members controlling their machines. The teaser provides insights into the battles and lets the voices of the main characters be heard.

The project is supervised by a prominent team. Creative producer is Goro Taniguchi. The mech design is by Hideki Amano, the direction is taken over by Kazuki Terada. The animation work is carried out by Production +h., which is known for works such as Chikyu Gaiden and Dead Dead Demons. The musical accompaniment is by SUGIZO.
