DATE A LIVE IV Anime Reveals Premiere April 8th

The new anime "Date a Live IV" will premiere on April 8, 2022. The visual shows the protagonist Shido Itsuka with his right hand raised, surrounded by Tohka Yatogami and the spirits Nia Honjou and Mukuro Hoshimiya, who will make their debut in "Date A Live IV." The anime was originally set to premiere in October but was postponed to this year due to "various reasons."







Jun Nakagawa returns to the series at GEEKTOYS after directing the Date A Bullet anime films. Naoto Nakamura also returns as character designer, and Go Sakabe is the music composer, who also wrote the music for the first three anime seasons.

Miyu Tomita will perform the opening song "OveR," and sweet ARMS will perform the ending song "S.O.S."

Yen Press licensed the original Date a Live light novel series and describes the plot as follows:

April 10. The first day of school. Shido Itsuka is rudely awakened by his personal alarm clock—his little sister. It’s just another typical day... well, as typical as it can be on a planet plagued by massive earthquakes. Little does Shido know, however, that his life is about to take a sudden turn when he encounters the source of this destructive phenomenon—a girl his age who appears to be known as a Spirit. As it turns out, there are only two ways to stop her from unleashing hell on Earth: eliminate her by force or pacify her... by asking her out on a date and making her fall in love with him!
