David Productions' first original anime project Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse begins in July

The studio david production (known for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Fire Force) is releasing its first independent TV anime series with IOnmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse. The broadcast begins on July 2, 2024, in the +Ultra programming block of Fuji TV and on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll. A second trailer and details about the expanded cast have been released.

The story takes place in Denji Heiankyō, a parallel world where the classical aesthetics of the Heian period meet futuristic cyber technology. The protagonist, Naruhira Takeru (voiced by Taketo Kimura), a rebellious student, ends up in this world after an accident and must combat the mysterious threat targeting the heroine Tsukimiya (voiced by Maaya Uchida) through time travel. He is supported by the legendary Yin-Yang master Abe no Seimei (voiced by Ryōhei Kimura).

- Atsunaga (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa): An elite Yin-Yang warrior who initially appears as Takeru’s rival.

- Yura (voiced by Anna Nagase): Atsunaga’s pragmatic partner.
