In episode 5 of "Dead Mount Death Play," we find ourselves in the midst of three distinct yet interconnected narratives.

The episode picks up where we left off, at Clarissa’s bar—the setting of an impending confrontation between the police, Polka, and the menacing Lemmings. The twist comes when Lemmings reveals his interest lies not in Polka but in Misaki. This leads to us learning more about Misaki’s past and her unusual connection to Lemmings.

Polka finds himself in a dilemma. He wants a peaceful life but also cares deeply for his friends. Even though saving Misaki jeopardizes his dream and puts him in danger, he intervenes anyway. His decision pays off when Clarissa and Misaki join forces to drive off the Lemmings.

In the second part of the episode, we are introduced to a new character—a spirit trapped inside Misaki’s mechanical pencil. Meanwhile, Polka launches a business venture, using the money he’s earned to buy magic-storing jewels. By utilizing his Evil Eyes and some clever psychological tricks, he becomes a successful fortune-teller.

The final part of the episode sets up the next major plotline: Polka’s return home. This may prove difficult, as the real Polka is trapped inside a stuffed shark while an alien necromancer inhabits his body. The people who know Polka best—his family—pose the greatest challenge to their scheme. To make matters worse, Polka’s nephews are being haunted by a desperate spirit pleading for help.
