The anime adaptation of "Deaimon" is eagerly awaited by fans of traditional Japanese confectionery. Finally, there is news about the premiere, cast, and staff. Today, the official "Deaimon" Twitter account revealed that the anime is set to be released in 2022.
The main roles will be voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki, known for his role as Shido Itsuka in "Date A Live" (as Nagomu Irino), and Kozue Yūki, who plays the young Itsuka Yukihira. Fumitoshi Oizaki (A Centaur's Life, Romeo × Juliet, AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue) is directing the anime at Encourage Films (Is the order a rabbit? BLOOM, Etotama, Isekai Cheat Magician). Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Tamako Love Story, Liz and the Blue Bird) is in charge of the series' scripts, and Sakae Shibuya (A Centaur's Life, Magical Girl Site) is the character designer and chief animation director.
The series follows Nagomu Irino, who returns to Kyoto after a decade to take over his family's confectionery shop, but soon learns that he must instead become a father figure to Itsuka Yukihara, who has been named the successor of the family business.
The manga began serialization in May 2016, continues to this day, and currently spans 10 volumes.
