Delicious in Dungeon - Episode 8

Episode 8 of "Delicious in Dungeon" begins with the group giving Laios a break so he can recover from his food poisoning, which was caused by a parasitic meal. During this pause, Marcille shares what she learned in school about building dungeons and reminisces about her first encounter with Falin, highlighting the uniqueness of Falin's school project and their first joint exploration of a dungeon.

After Laios' recovery, the team plans their confrontation with the Red Dragon and estimates that the journey to its lair will take two days. In their efforts to stay clean, Marcille uses boiling water to wash herself, unintentionally drawing the attack of an Undine, a sentient water spirit, when she drains the used water into the dungeon's ecosystem. The Undine, repelled by the heat, forces the team to consider fire as a means of defense. Marcille's magic begins to falter during the confrontation, leading to Laios rescuing her from the water, after which the group decides to avoid further conflict, as Marcille's magic is exhausted and she is injured.

The group is forced to hide and faces the dilemma of having no resources to trade for healing other than the undesirable kelpie meat. A glimmer of hope arises when Senshi confirms that she has saved the kelpie's liver, leading to a shared meal of grilled kelpie meat and liver. This meal restores Marcille's strength but cannot replenish her magical powers. The episode ends with another group of adventurers, lured by the scent of the grilled meat, curiously wondering who dares to cook in such a dangerous part of the dungeon.
