The original film Make My Day will premiere in February

Netflix announced on Friday that the animated film Make My Day will be released worldwide on February 2. The film is based on an original story by cartoonist Yasuo Ohtagaki and is directed by Makoto Honda for the Taiwanese studio 5 Inc., which is also responsible for the animation and character design. Yumiko Yoshizawa is writing the screenplay, Shoji Kawamori and Kiyotaka Oshiyama are collaborating on the robot design, and Kensuke Ushio is composing the soundtrack. The film's voice cast includes Masaomi Yamahashi, Ayahi Takagaki, Kazuhiro Yamaji, and Akio Ohtsuka. The film is set on a cold, ice- and snow-covered planet where mysterious creatures have emerged from underground and are attacking the inhabitants. The story follows humanity's efforts to survive the terror threatening them.
