Detective Conan: Sekigan no Flashback - plot and teaser released

The 28th film in the Detective Conan series, Detective Conan: The One-Eyed Flashback (Sekigan no Flashback), has revealed its plot and a first teaser. The thrilling story is set in the snow-covered mountains of Nagano Prefecture and connects events from the past with a new case in the present.

At the center is Kan'osuke Yamato, an inspector with the Nagano Police, who lost his left eye during a pursuit in the snow-covered mountains after being hit by a rifle shot. Ten months later, while investigating a new case, a massive parabolic antenna at an observatory suddenly begins to move, causing intense pain in his injured eye.

Meanwhile, Kogoro Mouri receives a call from a former colleague from his time with the Tokyo Police, who wants to inform him about Yamato's case back then. But when Kogoro arrives at the meeting point, a gunshot suddenly rings out.

The 30-second teaser begins with Yamato's painfully throbbing left eye. It is followed by dramatic scenes, including Yamato holding his blood-covered eye, an avalanche, and the haunting question: "What did I see?" Familiar characters from the Nagano and Tokyo Police appear, including Takaki Morofushi, Yui Uehara, Inspector Megure, Detective Satou, Detective Takagi, and Rei Furuya. Kogoro also shows an uncharacteristically serious and determined side, saying, "Don't follow me. This isn't a game."
