The TV series "DIGIMON BEATBREAK" is entering the home stretch: with the 42nd episode broadcast on August 9, the final story arc of the anime production, the "Asuka Arc," begins. To celebrate the start, those in charge have released a new key visual that condenses the emotional starting point of the finale.

The motif shows protagonist Tenma Tomorou (voice: Miyu Irino) and his Digimon partner Gekkomon (Megumi Han) reaching out their hands toward Tenma Asuka (Kazuya Nakai). Asuka, Tomorou's older brother, has been taken out of action by a "Cold-Heart" state. The image is accompanied by the slogan "Seize Tomorrow." Whether Tomorou can save his brother is the central question of the final section, in which, according to the announcement, the characters' own ambitions clash and are brought to their conclusion.

The 42nd episode is titled "Sakura no Yūjō" ("Friendship of Cherry Blossoms"). In it, Tomorou sets off to the hospital with Kyō because Kyō wants to see Asuka again after a long time. Along the way, Kyō tells of memories of Asuka that even Tomorou doesn't know – and in which the secret behind the creation of Kougamon is hidden.

"DIGIMON BEATBREAK" is the first new TV anime in the Digimon series in about two years and has been airing since October 5, 2025, every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. (JST) on Fuji TV and other stations. The story is set in a world where people's thoughts and feelings serve as "e-Pulses" and power the AI support devices "Sapotama." Digital life forms that feed on e-Pulses and evolve are the Digimon. After Tenma Tomorou encounters Gekkomon, born from a Sapotama, he gets drawn into an extraordinary adventure and joins the bounty hunter team "Growing Dawn" around Sawashiro Kyō. Akihiro Asanuma is responsible for the animation design of the Digimon; the series is produced by Fuji TV, Yomiko Advertising, and Toei Animation. The voice cast includes, alongside Miyu Irino and Megumi Han, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Mutsumi Tamura, Arisa Sekine, Misaki Kuno, Yōhei Azakami, and Daiki Hamano.

The "Asuka Arc" starts on August 9 at 9:00 a.m. (JST) on Fuji TV and numerous partner stations; some stations will only join the broadcast on August 16 or 23. Immediately after the TV premiere, episodes will be streamed from 9:30 a.m. via services such as FOD, Prime Video, U-NEXT, dAnime Store, Hulu, DMM TV, ABEMA, and TELASA, as well as on the Toei Animation channel.

To make it easier to get into the final phase, the official Digimon YouTube channel will make episodes 38 to 41 available for free from August 8 to 14 – the complete "Kyō Arc," which tells the past of Kyō and Murasamemon. In addition, an animated music video has been released that summarizes the events from episodes 1 to 41 to the opening "Mad Pulse" by MADKID and reviews the journey of "Growing Dawn" so far. Already on August 8, there was also an early screening of the Kyō Arc episodes including a preview of episode 42, during which voice actors Yōhei Azakami and Daiki Hamano spoke about the highlights of the upcoming Asuka Arc.
