The anime series "Douse, Koishite Shimau no." is getting a second season. Based on the manga of the same name by Haruka Mitsui, the continuation of the story is expected to start in January 2026. A first teaser as well as information on further voice actors has been released.

The plot revolves around the protagonist Mizuho and her four closest childhood friends, Teruzuki, Shin, Ai, and Shūgo. The first season showed how their familiar relationships changed after Teruzuki declared he wanted to be seen as a "potential boyfriend." The newly released teaser provides insights into the further developed plot and shows the characters in a more mature form. Particular attention is drawn to a scene in which Teruzuki touches Mizuho's cheek and his face approaches hers.

The cast of the second season includes Mayuko Kazama in the role of Kuroda. This new character is a university classmate of Shin's and harbors feelings for him. The voice actress commented in a statement on the appeal of the series and her approach to portraying this character.

The continuation promises to further deepen the complex emotional entanglements and the development of the friendships.
