The 51st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine this year revealed on Monday that Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi's Dr. Stone manga will receive an anime adaptation, which will premiere in July 2019.

The previous issue of the magazine hinted at a "major announcement" for the manga in this week's issue. Inagaki and Kobayashi will participate in a stage presentation at Jump Festa 19 in December, where they will reveal further details about the anime.
