"Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE": Last season of the TV anime announced with a special teaser

The popular TV anime series "Dr. STONE," based on the manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, has officially announced the production of its final season titled "Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE." This announcement comes after the conclusion of the series' third season, "Dr. STONE NEW WORLD," on December 21.

To celebrate the upcoming fourth season, comments from director Shuhei Matsushita and producer Shusuke Katagiri were released. Matsushita expressed excitement: "SCIENCE FUTURE ≠ SCIENCE FICTION! Our story is about overcoming fiction through the power of science. The fourth season, the final chapter of the anime, will be under the motto 'The Future of Science,' and we want to show a hopeful future for Senku and his companions." Producer Katagiri shared his joy at the anime's upcoming fifth anniversary, stating his enthusiasm for continuing the series and contributing to this project, especially to expand the story beyond the third season of the original manga.

"Dr. STONE" is a science fiction survival story set thousands of years after all of humanity has been petrified by a mysterious phenomenon. The series follows the super-intelligent Senku, who awakens from his petrification and begins rebuilding civilization from scratch in a world where science has been lost. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2017 to 2022. The first season of the TV anime adaptation aired in 2019, followed by the second season in 2021, a TV special in 2022, and the third season in 2023.
