Ginro and Suika are still on the ship, which increases the likelihood of Senku obtaining the necessary lab to assist Kohaku in infiltrating the Treasure Island empire. Although they haven’t been discovered yet, the presence of the Master’s minister and one of his best warriors on the ship makes their task far from easy and carries the risk of Ginro and Suika being captured.
In this episode, Suika locates the mobile lab on the ship and subsequently camouflages it. Senku firmly believes in their ability to aid the team, but the group shows some skepticism toward Ginro. Kohaku, however, remains optimistic about his potential contribution.
Suika and Ginro manage to smuggle the lab off the ship, with Suika providing a timely distraction. Once ashore, they successfully reunite with Senku and the rest of the team. To transform Kohaku, Senku uses the lab and an assortment of island fruits to produce shampoo, conditioner, primer, lipstick, and perfume. The group hopes these products will persuade the Master to invite Kohaku into the inner palace.
To increase their chances of infiltration, Senku and the group disguise Ginro as a woman, hoping he, too, will pass the Master’s selection. The episode ends with Kohaku, Amaryllis, and Ginro successfully passing the Master’s selection, thereby receiving an invitation to the inner palace. Following this development, they are escorted to the palace while Senku outlines the next steps of their plan.
Throughout the episode, the serious undertone of the narrative is balanced with lighter, comedic moments, providing a breather from the previous tension and chaos. Although the episode’s pacing is relatively relaxed, it hints at an impending escalation of events. The laid-back comedic moments serve as a prelude to a potentially intense second half of the season, reminiscent of the intensity of the first season during Senku’s conflict with the Tsukasa Empire.
