In the second episode, Gomah and his followers summon Shenron, but are surprised when he grants them only one wish instead of the usual three. Goku and his friends are turned into children.

Confusion arises as they realize the wish has affected all of them. Soon, they discover that Dende has been kidnapped by Degesu, the younger brother of Kaioshin, along with an arrogant little man and an elderly Namekian named Neva from the Demon Realm. Determined to rescue Dende and reverse the transformation, they decide to travel to the Demon Realm. Kaioshin mentions an ancient spaceship that could take them there. Bulma volunteers to repair it but estimates it will take about ten days. Since Goku refuses to wait, he searches for his Nyoibo (Power Pole) to aid in the journey. He visits Karin, who directs him to Master Roshi.

Meanwhile, a figure named Glorio from the Demon Realm appears and asks Goku for help in defeating King Gomah—an evil Majin, as Goku and the others learn, who seized power after Dabura's death and is responsible for their transformation. Goku and Kaioshin recognize the urgency and agree to accompany Glorio immediately, while others, like Vegeta, will join them once the spaceship is repaired.

The episode ends with Goku, Kaioshin, and Glorio setting off for the Demon Realm.
