In the latest issue of Shueisha's V Jump, details about the story of the Dragonball Super anime were revealed. As mentioned before, the story takes place after the final battle against the demon Buu (i.e., the end of DBZ) and the movies "Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods" / "Dragonball Z: Resurrection of ‘F’."
Dragonball Super will therefore essentially be a continuation of DBZ under a new name (similar to the remake DBZ "Kai").
The first episode is described as follows:
After the victory over the demon Buu, life has returned to peace. Although Goku would like to keep training, he now goes to work at Chi-Chi's request. Meanwhile, Goten is about to become Videl's brother-in-law and sets out with Trunks to find a gift for her.
Additionally, a new character was revealed. This character is named Shanpa and bears a strong resemblance to Beerus, the God of Destruction.
Toei Animation Europe has listed the series with 100 episodes (this remains to be seen).
