With the Dragonball Z DVD Collection, the complete TV anime series is being released as a collection on DVD for the first time. This unique series launches on January 19, 2011, and is available through magazine retailers or by subscription directly from De Agostini. A new issue is released every two weeks. Issue 1 costs €3.99; all subsequent issues are priced at €8.99.
Each issue includes a DVD with 4 episodes and an 8-page magazine. Issues 2 and 3 are available as a double pack with 2 DVDs (4 episodes each) and a 16-page magazine.
The collection brings together all 291 episodes of the highly successful TV series. The episodes match the German broadcast version as aired on RTL2—naturally completely ad-free. Each DVD features German audio.
The magazine included with each DVD provides all the essential information about the respective episodes' plot, details about the various characters, and further insights into the world of Dragonball Z. It is divided into three sections:
The Story: A description of the plot of the four episodes on the respective DVD.
Characters: This section offers a more detailed profile of one of the series' characters.
DBZ World: Background information about the famous anime series, such as notable locations or details about the directors involved in its production.
